RDR2 RELATIONSHIP CHART!
free to use, just credit me if you do :) (also tag me if you use it for rdr2 oc's i'd love that hehe)
Young Jack ver ⤴️
Old Jack ver ⤵️
notes cuz i love overthinking shit :
EVERYONE except Micah, Sadie and Kieran have both little hair thingies
for Micah it's cuz....yknow. he's not really part. he's the rat. doesn't even have one of the two.
For Sadie and Kieran they have 1 since they are part of the gang, they just happened to join later
I changed some people's design a little bit but it's minor changes that don't mean much just me fixing up stuff
Molly and Grimshaw's eye-makeup-thingies are the same (cuz yknow. Dutch.) Molly's hair doesn't naturally do the Little Hair Thing, she has to do it every morning, hence why it's...oddly curly (this time not because she's not part of the gang, but because she feels the need to have it. maybe Dutch will love her if she does. if she's like the rest.)
I decided to make older Jack have a few things from other characters who are theorized to be his dad (lol. i don't believe those theories just for the record, i think Jack is John's kid, i just like stirring the pot HJKASJKHASGASG)
Jenny is like that cuz we never see her apart from a drawing, so i thought i should make her all sketchy and silly
Mac is. a fucking square. we never see that mf.
Karen has 3 freckles instead of 3 cuz she's quirky and not like the other girls (no but fr)
i tried to keep it right side people who would agree most with Dutch after Dutch...? if that makes sense? so yknow Micah is first, then Bill, etc. from the left side is the people who agreed the most with Arthur/John...so Hosea, Charles, lenny, etc.
Arthur facing John, Hosea facing Dutch, Charles facing Micah is on purpose teehee (Kieran is also kinda facing Mary-Beth but you can call bullshit and i'll accept it)
Jack is the only boyo between the women cuz he stands with his momma
i thought Arthur and John's hat bonking was p funny
idk what else to say, i've probably forgoren a lot but idc so...
these designs are 100% not perfect but i am p satisfied with most overall, lemme know what you think!
also....
i don't have any fucking clue why person's eyes are the only ones like that please someone fix him whats wrong with him help get him eye contacts or something PLEASE--

Sit down and let's talk. No, just listen. Young love is beautiful and joyfull and fresh and sparkling and explosive. And it gets destroyed every single time. Lenny who was sweet on Jenny, but she died during the Blackwater shootout. Karen who might never say it sober but loved Sean, who died by the hands of some white cousin-fucking farmer. Mary-Beth who saw something more in Kieran, more than a O'Driscoll who died by the hands of men by the order of a cruel man. Behind these guns stood men, but the fault was greed of a different one.

Related to the 'Micah Bell is the most queer man in the entire game' Hot Take because bro really went "If I flirt with everyone, someone gotta say yes at one point" He wanted the Van der Linde Gang to be a evil polycule so fucking bad
AND IT WORKED ON JENNY KIRK.
(I HC it was consensual but VERY MUCH a one time thing that was secret.)
#rdr2#ask#asks#answer#Micah bell#Jenny Kirk#I think Jenny did it as some sort of self destructive trauma thing.#she banged a man who was as toxic and grimy as men who have hurt her. it’s familiar to her#also toxic polycule micah lends itself perfectly to bill x micah x Javier triad

WAIT COULD YOU EXPLAIN WHATS LIKE THE SITUATION WITH KAREN AND SEAN AND LENNY AND JENNY? SORRY IM JUST STRUGGLING TO UNDERSTAND
OKAY SO they're a polycule where karen is sean's sort of gf and jenny is sort of lenny's gf but lenny and sean are married. and karen is also hitting on jenny constantly (jenny is one of those straight girls who are entirely aware of the effect they have on the same sex despite not being attracted to women sexually). like an N where lenny and sean are absolutes and jenny and karen are the secondaries.
karen just isn't the monogamous relationship sort. if sean had proposed to her she would have said no. she does adore him more than platonically but she is much more comfortable not being in a committed relationship. their on again off again i hate you btw you busy later dynamic works a lot better for her. she cannot handle how overwhelmingly smitten sean is when he's in a relationship. it's fun flirting with sean but the fact he can't pick up when she's saying she needs time to herself is a massive barrier in them ever being more than a heteroromantic codependent friends with benefits situation
sean and karen understand each other as alcoholics using alcohol to mask the sheer burden of their projected overconfident identities. karen might act like a sex symbol but she loathes the male gaze objectifying her, taking advantage of how men view her at the expense of her own self-worth is just how she learned to survive as a woman in 1899. sean has a lot more trauma than happy go lucky implies but avoiding processing it is his way of coping and they both use alcohol to help support their faux identities
jenny is similar to karen in that she does enjoy how sweet lenny can be and lenny is v much in love with both her and sean but she needs a lot more freedom and space than being in a monogamous relationship with lenny would allow, keeping in mind she is one of the unspoken badass women in rdr2 like highkey implied to have been a gunman for the VDLs (killed in the Blackwater shootout) despite being a teenager (based on relationship with lenny in canon) who was abandoned on the roadside in the grizzlies (i hc by her parents, abandonment based on arthur's journal)
jenny likes having lenny as a soft place to land when her self-destructive episodes end but she doesn't need the level of coddling and gentle affection lenny offers 24/7. she has a massive trauma-based disconnect between romantic and sexual affection she would happily have good sex with anyone but there are very few she is comfortable being emotionally and romantically entangled with. being in a polycule means she doesn't feel like she's solely dependent on one person to be her emotional wellbeing and that is comforting to her
meanwhile lenny and sean compliment each other almost perfectly in high energy meets rock, forced to grow up to soon meets uses constant immaturity to mask, awestruck by each other's bravado while also seeing glimpses of each other's damage and being willing to support one another even if they don't fully understand one another (lenny doesn't understand sean's relationship with alcohol, sean doesn't understand the disconnect between how logical lenny is vs his very emotion-based irrational decisions)
karen and jenny are both very supportive of how intense sean and lenny's attraction is. like they both want their 'male counterpart' to be happy and are glad for how happy sean and lenny make each other. being able to feel like part of a relationship without the label of girlfriend/partner suits them both for different reasons. they are more than happy they are downright supportive of lenny and sean being able to turn to each other and be in love and have each other as supports through modern era
macsummers is endgame like lenny and sean only fall more in love with each other as they age and grow together in timewarp which karen and jenny support. they are happy and content going days/weeks without any attention from their male companion
but if karen needs to feel seen she will always go to sean, and if jenny needs to feel safe come down from a manic episode she will go to lenny, but also being in a polycule means they both know they can go to anyone else in their relationship quartet without judgement and still get the level of supportive partner they need without the obligation of a sexual component of the relationship.
lenny would gladly sit and listen to karen while validating her emotions and sean will similarly happily bring jenny snacks and sit with her so she doesn't feel alone when the depressive episodes are so bad she can't get out of bed
maeve is biologically karen and sean's daughter but views all four of them as her parents. karen gets to find self-worth outside of the male gaze, sean gets to feel closer to his da in recognizing his own feelings being a da, lenny similarly feels more able to address his feelings towards his own parents by being stern but also more emotionally available than his parents were, and jenny gets to heal her inner child by being a maternal figure
tbf raising the grandchild of the legendary darragh macguire takes four people. she is a duplicate of sean if sean could get away with using 'i'm just a baby' as an excuse for his antics
maybe it's internalized homophobia maybe if sean and lenny hadn'y grown up with 19th century values they would identify as gay and be in a happy monogamous relationship but in timewarp their 'i love you but i have a thing with a woman' dynamic serves everyone (including maeve's odds of survival) perfect

3/8 oneshot requests filled
This is a little update on my reader-request-darkfic-project on Ao3, Barbwired Tumbleweed, this time intended for the Micah fans. Three of eight fills are now done, and I'll begin filling the other five requests.
(Undead!Abigail x soon-to-be-undead!John smut is next in line!!!)
Below are links with info on the three fics. One is Gen, one is M/F and one is M/M, but remember, these stories are intentionally disturbing.
1. Bear Trap: Micah Bell & Bill Williamson. While running from an O'Driscoll, Micah gets his foot stuck in a bear trap. He is then saved by a bear.
2. Night Swimming: Micah Bell/Jenny Kirk. Jenny is out swimming one late evening, reaching the outskirts of camp, where she spots a familiar figure.
3. Barbwired Tumbleweed: Micah Bell/Sam Freeman. After committing crimes in Tumbleweed, Micah trades sexual favors against water with the sheriff.
These three all include varying degrees of graphic violence. Number 2 and 3 deserve a rape/non-con warning. All (of my fics ever) have ambiguous endings that might be considered bad endings by some.
I had a lot of fun writing these!!!
Thanks to those that shared their ideas with me :D

a question about micah and jenny
tw: mention of non-consent
i recently saw a video where micah admits he "had jenny." i've seen this clip before and always chalked that up to being bullshit (she's dead after all and can't confirm or deny these claims. not to mention he's a racist who's targeted lenny several times in camp before so it wasn't totally inconceivable to me that he'd use jenny as a way to poke at lenny further, even if it was behind his back).
but some commenters were speculating on whether it actually happened. and more importantly, that it most likely wouldn't have been consensual.
is there anything else regarding his little tidbit or is it just kind of up for speculation?

Dead together
i am not a writer!!! but i've had this idea stuck in my head and i don't feel like making a comic so just bear with me 😭😭 cw//character death, spoilers
Arthur, Sean, Bill and Micah walked down the road of Rhodes, talking about the Grays and the Braithwaites as they did. As they tried to make a quick buck, playing both families, they ended up being the ones getting played… Arthur looked around him, an indescribable feeling of dread filling his senses, like something bad was going to happen.
“ Hey, wait “ Arthur stopped the men walking in front of him “ This don’t feel right “ Arthur muttered. Sean turned around, gun resting on his shoulder with his usual relaxed mannerisms “ Now it don’t feel right? “ the Irishman asked “ I could’a told you that-”
Then came darkness.
Sean woke up on his cot, startled. He looked around, confused…this wasn’t Clemen’s point, it wasn’t even half as humid and hot as that place. He looked around for a bit more, blinking more than enough times to wake him up, before getting up and stretching, a killer headache rattling the poor man. He stumbled out blindly, walking out and around the tent with pure muscle memory, rubbing his eyes as he did. “ Fuckin’ ‘ell… “ He mumbled, looking around as he finally landed behind the tent…his eyes widened at the view.
It can’t be. It couldn’t.
But it was. A few camps ago, the one before Blackwater, the one that went up in flames…how? The last thing he remembered was-- “ Sean? “ A familiar voice called for him, just as confused and startled as he was.
Sean whipped his head around, meeting the mans eyes. “ …Mac? “ He asked as his eyes widened “ oh my lord! “ He chuckled, walking up to the man and hitting his shoulder playfully “ ah, you really scared me! “ He nodded, looking at the older man with a smile “ really thought you died! ‘course not, you’re tough as nails brother! “ …his smile wasn’t reciprocated, though. Instead, Mac grimaced. “ what are you doing here? “ Mac asked plainly, looking Sean up and down like he was seeing a ghost “ what? “ Sean asked, a bit confused now. Mac was the ghost, in any case… “ you shouldn’t--…you shouldn’t be here “ Mac mumbled, looking Sean up and down again, as if that'd change the fact he was there now.
Well, that was confusing…and not a proper way to greet him. They both stood in silence for a few seconds, taking in each other's image with odd looks…but every time Sean tried to think, it hurt his head worse. He was trying, he really was, but he found it made him upset…can’t be upset when you see your friend again after you thought they died, standing in…in a camp that doesn’t exist anymore and…and wait where’s Arthur and Bill and--
“ god… “ Mac broke the silence and Sean’s train of thought, groaning and pinching the bridge of his nose “ c’mon, let’s go “ He motioned for the other man to follow, turning around and starting to walk “ where we going? “ Sean asked, trying to keep up the smile as he did “ Jenny will be better at explaining “ Mac answered simply, shrugging as they walked further and toward an old run-down cabin “ Jenny’s here? “ Sean asked “ She was the first one, was alone…not for long, though “ He explained, tone turning a bit more sour by the end.
Right, of course, Jenny was…wait…no. no. no.
“ So, what’s going on ‘ere? Thought this place burnt “ Sean said with a pretty awkward chuckle as he stared at the dirt below their feet, scratching the back of his neck nervously. He couldn’t look around, couldn't think…It made goosebumps rise on his skin. “ what…? It did “ Mac scoffed, as if it was obvious “ What? “ Sean asked, a lot quieter, his steps stuttering slightly “ it burnt down “ Mac stated, impatient as always.
“ but…but then how—” Sean started, his head hurting so much he thought a bullet went right through his skull, but he was cut off by Mac “ leave the questions for Jenny, will you? “ Mac said, looking at Sean with a frown over his shoulder. “ keep them in your head for now “
Mac was trying to keep his cool, in his own way, Sean could tell…but he could also tell Mac was very rattled with the fact that he was there. He forced himself to tear his eyes from the dirt, looking at Mac again.
Mac frowned further as their eyes met, turning away. There was silence for a bit, the only noise heard was the dirt crunching under their boots, and Sean’s heartbeat going so fast he thought it’d blow up his rib cage and run away.
“ I thought you made it out “ Mac said quietly, as if reading Sean’s thoughts. Sean turned his head back to the dirt, countless thoughts running through his head.
“ I did, I got out, got captured… “ Sean hummed, thinking hard. “ Arthur saved me “ He added “ We should catch up, I’ll tell you fellas all about what we got on while you were gone “ Sean said, looking back up with a smile.
Mac stood silent for a few more seconds, opening the door to the run-down cabin they used to eat their meals in. All together, like a little family. God, this was nostalgic. “ sure “ he said “ trouble, I hope “ he added with a weak and lopsided grin. Sean’s eyes landed on Jenny and Davey, who were so into their game of dominos they didn’t even notice Mac and himself.
His head hurt like a bullet went straight through his skull…and it had.

Micah Bell III (The Third)
(The above photo was taken at Clemen's Point)
(Warning: This post contains spoilers!)
About
Name: Micah Bell III (Referred to simply as Micah Bell)
Age:* 39 (RDR2 Ch1-6) 47 (RDR2 Ep1/2)
(*In a newspaper clipping found at his Strawberry camp, it states that in 1877 his father was wanted for murder with a 17 year old son that was Micah based on this quote "suspects are believed to be one Micah Bell, age 38, and his son, also Micah Bell, age 17")
Description: (official description from R*)
A career criminal and hitman, Micah fell in with Dutch's gang about five months ago. He claims he met Dutch when he saved his life in a bar fight over some stolen gold. He comes from a long line of bad men. His father and grandfather before him were also called Micah Bell and, at one point, his father was wanted for murder in five counties. He has a brother living in California, whom he despises. Wild, unpredictable and something of a nihilist, he lives for the action, and is great in a gun fight.
Quick Facts
He has a younger brother named Amos (a letter from his brother can be found at Shady Belle)
We know Micah is the older brother because of the tradition of naming the first born son after the father, hence Micah Bell the Third.
Though his description says he "despises" his brother, it's clear by the letter found at Shady Belle from Amos that Micah was the one to reach out to Amos first, though his intentions were not clear as we didn't see what was in the letter he sent Amos.
He's been a criminal since as young as 17, a newspaper clipping can be found in his camp near Strawberry about him and his father being wanted for murder.
During a conversation he implies Jenny Kirk might have been carrying "Micah Bell the fourth" which many fans assume wasn't consensual, but there is no evidence either way or even that he was telling the truth since she isn't alive to deny it.
He has some sort of lung/respiratory issue as he is constantly snorting, clearing his throat, and coughing.
Outfits by chapter
Ch 1: Colter
Like everyone else he only has the one outfit in Colter which is also the only time he wears the coat shown, it's a shade of red, and a greenish head wrap.
Ch 2-4 & 6:
His outfit after Colter is pretty much always the same with small variations. Photo 1: Black short coat buttoned, red long sleeved shirt buttoned to the top button. Photo 2: no coat, same red shirt with only a few buttons buttoned.
The only time his coat is buttoned is at Horseshoe Overlook, above, but the rest of the outfits are pretty much the same: Some variation of black and red with tan/dirty white pants, with and without his hat.
He also has one outfit where he wears black pants tucked into black boots which are different than the boots in every other outfit (They are possibly the ones he wears during the heist in chapter 4 and on Guarma.) The coat shown above is also the one he wears at Clemen's point.
In the first outfit below he has a red vest over a black shirt and a different black coat, second he has his red shirt and necktie to the side with black jacket from previous, and third he's in his red shirt, no jacket, and the necktie is in a different position.
Bank Heist Outfit
Ch 5: Guarma
He only has one outfit which looks two different ways: before the shipwreck and after. (Since they went from the heist to the ship it is presumed that the shirt below simply wasn't visible under the white jacket, red vest, and white puff tie he wore.)
Outfit Details
He always (except for two instances) has his signature weapons, the custom double-action revolvers. (those two instances being before retrieving them in Strawberry where he'll use whatever weapon Arthur hands him and on the island of Guarma - even though he had them during the bank robbery and presumably on the ship.)
His custom double-action revolvers: The words "Vengeance is hereby mine" are etched onto each barrel and the grips are black with a red skull design.
His guns on Guarma: Seem to be plain double-action revolvers, presumably borrowed/stolen.
Epilogue (Part 2)
His outfit is similar to the one he wore in Colter only the green scarf isn't over his head.
Life/Events
Micah Bell III was born circa 1860 to Micah Bell Jr. According to a newspaper clipping found at Micah camp near Strawberry, when he was 17, in 1877, he and his father were on the run for the brutal double homicide of Roscoe and Jean Briggs, who were hung from the rafters with their throats slit.
It is presumed he also ran with his younger brother for a time before the latter settled down with a wife and kids. A letter found at Shady Belle implies Micah reached out to Amos, but the younger Bell told him not to contact him again and if he heard Micah was "within fifty miles of [him], [he] will come and find [Micah] and then [Micah would] meet [his] maker and apologise to him on both [their] behalves for them things [they] did".
Missions
Chapter 1: Colter -
Micah is in four of the six missions in chapter 1.
He is in the very first mission of the game Outlaws from the West. He is part of Old Friends and is the one to find the map about the train for Who the Hell is Leviticus Cornwall? And like everyone he is part of Eastward Bound.
Chapter 2: Horseshoe Overlook -
Micah is in one and a second (player determined) mission in chapter 2.
After freeing Micah from jail in Blessed are the Meek? the player has the option of completing the next mission, An American Pastoral Scene, (which will bring Micah back to camp) either in chapter 2 or chapter 3.
Chapter 3: Clemen's Point -
Micah is in 3 of 16 missions with possibly another if An American Pastoral Scene wasn't completed in chapter 2.
He goes with Dutch and Arthur in Blessed are the Peacemakers, he waits with Sean and Bill for Arthur in town for A Short Walk in a Pretty Town, and while he doesn't go to the Braithwaite Manor he's in a cutscene for Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern so he's listed as being in that mission on the wikia.
Chapter 4: Shady Belle -
The only mission he's in for chapter 4 is the bank heist in Banking, The Old American Art. Though, like most other characters in camp, he is present for Horsemen, Apocalypses as well.
Chapter 5: Guarma -
As one of the group on the island he is in 6 of the 10 missions for chapter 5.
The first mission, Lost and Not Quite Found, Welcome to the New World, Hell Hath No Fury, and finally the mission to leave the island Paradise Mercifully Departed. And then back at camp with the rest of the gang he is then in Fleeting Joy where it's shown he and Javier arrived in Lakay before Arthur, Dutch, then Bill and he's shown in cutscenes in That's Murfree Country.
It is assumed he was picked up by Pinkertons sometime between arriving back to the US and meeting back up with everyone in Lakay and that that's how the Pinkertons knew the gang was there. However, there are two alternatives 1) if Arthur doesn't find the letter at Shady Belle one of the Pinkerton agents will find it and read it aloud. They'll even state that they're going to check there. 2) When Bill finally arrives last he says he was asking all over for them and not long after, the Pinkertons are there. Both are plausible ways the Pinkertons could've found the gang that didn't involve Micah. (Yes, at that point he was a rat and it's 100% plausible that he did just tell them, I'm just giving two other ways that also make sense.)
Chapter 6: Beaver Hollow -
He is in 5 of the 15 missions in chapter 6.
Arthur meets Micah and Dutch in Annesburg in Just a Social Call where Dutch kills Cornwall and the three have to shoot their way out of town. Micah sends Arthur and Bill to get dynamite in The Delights of Van Horn. He goes with everyone to Cornwall Kerosene & Tar in My Last Boy. He's part of the train heist in Our Best Selves and the following mission Red Dead Redemption he is in all four of the various endings you can get.
Epilogue 2: Beecher's Hope -
The only and final mission he's in is the final mission of the game, American Venom where he ultimately gets gunned down by John.
Camp Life
Micah can be seen whittling a stick, sharpening his knife and cleaning his guns. Arthur can challenge him to five finger fillet. He never goes on guard duty, but occasionally he will announce at the donation box that he's putting money in (usually $25).
He never sleeps; when everyone else is in bed he'll sit at the main fire. The only time he's seen sleeping is if he's been drinking as part of a camp scene (i.e. drinking with Javier) and passes out at a table (shown below) or in a cutscene.
Death
During the final mission of the game before free roam, Micah is shot to death by John in 1907, after he, Charles, and Sadie track Micah down to his hideout atop Mount Hagan. While holding Sadie hostage and while he and Dutch hold John at gunpoint, Dutch makes the decision to shoot Micah, allowing John to shoot as many times as the player wants. After his death if the player returns to the area they can loot one of Micah's custom guns and find his now frozen body beside it.

Please....these Micah Bell hate posts have to stop!
Short and simple.
I was looking through RDR2 reddit and I found these
Come On!!!
I'll say this once there is absolutely NO PROOF Micah did any this.
Its like people have it set in their head that Micah SA'd Jenny Kirk. If. You. Can't. Find. Proof. Of. This. In. The. Game. It. Probably. Didn't. Happen.
Y'all make it seem like people can't like the bad guy or at least wanna fuck him. Some people would sleep with Micah. Like there are PLENTY ENOUGH REASONS TO HATE MICAH, he is misogynistic. He is a racist and a bigot. Why? Why add something you don't even know to be true to the equation? We can hate him for what we know he did. Not for what you think he did.
To those that accuse Micah of this. Do you spend your day walking down the street calling people a SA? Because you are targeting a random NPC villain and accusing them of something you don't even know or have any proof. Mind as well walk outside point at a random person and yell out "Ra****!!!!"
The Amos Situation
Amos Bell writes a letter to Micah tells Micah not to come near him or his daughters. Why would anyone immediatley assume its because he doesnt want Micah to SA his kids.
Cmon.
First realistic and probably the actual reason. Amos was able to leave the life Micah Bell Senior forced onto him. He was able to run away with his wife and kid. Micah wasn't. Micah was forced and bent into the ways of outlaw life. Put in a mold he couldn't escape. From a random encounter Micah is seen at the campfire talking about his brother in a very bad light "Amos was as yellow as piss on snow" but when he says "My brother was a fool" I almost feel like Micah was hinting that his brother abandoned him with his dad. This could show that because of Amos' actions Micah was left to the hands of his father by himself, there could easily be a chance he doesn't want Micah's influence to reach his daughter. Doesn't want his daughters to see the things Micah does and pick up his habit. I mean who would? Who would want a man that makes a living running from the law and killing folks around their kids?

Sharing my thoughts about Micah (spoilers for the whole game basically)
I've been thinking recently about the literary concept of the unreliable narrator and why RDR2's writing is amazing when it comes to Micah. Yes, Arthur witnesses many of Micah's bad deeds, like being an asshole to certain members of the camp and the whole Strawberry massacre. But so much of what Arthur thinks about Micah and even what Micah says to Arthur is unconfirmed. We as the player don't witness it. Such as:
Blackwater: often, gang members bring leads to Arthur, and Arthur is the one who has to make the call whether or not to go for it. Yes, if the information is bad, Arthur does call out the gang member for it, but it usually is Arthur's decision whether or not they go. In the case of Blackwater, Dutch made the decision to go, but we don't know the exact details that Micah brought him about the job, either. Given how Dutch acts later in the game, he may have proceeded even if Micah's information included the money being well-guarded.
Strawberry (the arrest): Lenny is the one who relays the story about Micah's arrest, and he doesn't share all that many details about it. Given that Micah gets arrested with O'Driscolls, who are known to start problems with Arthur all the time in Valentine, it's very likely they did the same with Micah. And, as we know, Micah is awful in a fist fight (couldn't even finish a fight against TB Arthur lol), it would make sense that Micah would go straight for his guns when threatened.
"Dutch said you was a big shadow cast by a tiny tree": is Micah just trying to insult Arthur, or did Dutch really say it? Honestly, I can see Dutch saying that about Arthur.
Blessed are the Peacemakers: Yes, it seems pretty suspicious that Micah would push so hard for peace talks with the O'Driscolls, and then have it go so wrong for poor Arthur. However, we don't witness what happens to Dutch and Micah when they are supposed to meet up with Arthur on the road back. One thing that I find really interesting is the random event where Micah and Dutch apologize to Arthur, their "story" about what happened after is the same. Word for word. But Micah's seems more honest. Makes me wonder whose idea it was not to rescue Arthur, especially since Dutch acts so surprised when Arthur returns.
Jenny Kirk: Did Micah actually sleep with Jenny or was he just trying to rile Arthur up? Arthur is angry, because Lenny was sweet on her, but we never meet Jenny. We have no way of knowing if Jenny liked Lenny back. For all we know, Jenny was just looking for some quick fun with Micah.
Cain: Okay, it's pretty damning that you can catch Micah kicking Cain at one point, but all Micah ever says to Jack is that the dog isn't coming back. Does he truly know, or does he just want Jack to stop shouting?
Betraying the gang: and here is the big one that we only get hearsay for. Milton's words to Arthur honestly make zero sense, but by this point, we are ready to believe it. We hate Micah, so of course Micah betrayed the gang. But if Micah truly was talking to the law, wouldn't they have found Beaver Hollow sooner? While I do think Micah interacted with the Pinkertons at some point, hence Milton knowing Micah's name despite him being a new member, it's unclear how much he actually told them.
tl;dr: Anyway, Micah is super complex, there are many possibilities for his character, and I'm very interested in Micah discourse now.
